God or Gut

Now you are probably wondering about this topic and what does God and gut have to do with anything. I know you have probably heard that saying "gut feeling" or "gut instinct". We all have at one point or another. Now people will say follow your gut, which means how you are feeling towards something, especially if it is bad.

Now here's how I look at it. For me I don't believe that it is gut feeling or gut instinct. I would like to call it "Godstinct" or "God feeling". How does that sound to you. Today I have had just this overwhelming sensation inside of me of pure excitement, exhilaration, and all around good feeling. As my friend Ms. Debbie would put it, it's a God Thing. Love that phrase too. She would type God Morning on her e-mails to the church family and she put it that it was a God thing that changed what we would call a typo error for it was suppose to be good morning.

But as we know it is God morning, God afternoon, God evening for He created it all and then some. So this is why I think of it as God feeling.

Romans 8:11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you (NIV)

1Corinthians 3:16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? (NIV)

See, God lives in us through the Holy Spirit. When we accept Jesus into our lives, we are not our own anymore, we belong to Him.

1Corinthians 6:19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; (NIV)

So you see the Holy Spirit in us does talk to us. Not in normal conversations even though I just talk to him normally. Course people will think that I'm talking to my self if they see me in public or think I'm crazy. LOL But anyways he gives us impressions on our heart and in our minds. He can make us feel good, and excited or he can convict us if we do wrong. He does steer us in the right direction to and verve us off the wrong path. So yes God speaks to us in his own way.

I just love this feeling and I hope and pray it doesn't stop. I just have to learn to listen to it better for which is a work in progress. I just love God feeling over gut feeling. Don't you?
