Slowly I see our freedom of religion fading away. Especially when it comes to other peoples views and opinions. I see the Muslims, Islams, Hindu's, and many other religions acting out their beliefs and it being accepted and the Christians (believers of Jesus Christ) getting stomped on. Found this on a website called Jeremiah Project.
Hatred and Discrimination of Christians
Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. [Matthew 24:9-13]
Reaping What We've Sown
Because we have allowed the censorship of our public officials, our teachers, our elected representatives and our judges of expressing their faith in public, the predictable is happening: a generation of young people growing up with very little understanding of the spiritual principles on which our country was founded.
Our culture has taught them that right and wrong are abribrary - subjective - changing. (Jeremiah Project)
My daughter and I have talked about this a lot. She feels that her Christian beliefs are being discriminated against. She's asked why can't she express her beliefs and other religions can? She thinks it is just not fair and I'm with her. Look what has happened. An atheist found a way to take prayer out of school. Another person found away to take the 10 Commandments out of government buildings that up hold the law. Now there are people who want to take away "in God we trust" and "under God" off our money and out of the pledge allegiance.
A couple of years ago a petition went around my kids high school where a gay student wanted to start up a club for gays/lesbians so they would have a place to go. Now you see girls making out in our schools and maybe even boys doing the same. Yet the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes, The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a not-for-profit evangelical Christian organization founded in 1954 and that has been based in Kansas City, Missouri since 1956. Members are encouraged, but not required, to be athletes.
A religious organization, FCA uses the influence of coaches and athletes as a means of Christian evangelism. The group operates chapters based in schools, and operates camps, workshops and conferences.),
in my kids high school is not endorsed by the high school for something that happened. The can't have the school name printed on their t-shirts and their picture won't be in the annuals. They can come together before or after the school at the school but not during school hours. I remember that club as being one of the largest group on campus when I was in high some 25 years ago.
The men and women who came from the other world as they say back in the day they discovered America believed in God and our Lord. They held those Biblical principles. But we have an evil roaming about deceiving all people who don't believe in our Lord and Savior.
1 Peter 5:8 (NIV) Be self controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Job 1:7 (NIV) The LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?" Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it."
Assault on the First Amendment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
- The Bill of Rights
Anti-American collectivists have been chipping away at the First Amendment for years.
Today it is hardly recognizable as an American right!
Today, we are living in a time where deceit, deception, and suppression of the truth has become an art form and the Courts across our land have become a breeding ground of termites eating away at our Constitutional guarantee of freedom of speech. (from Jeremiah Project)
How much longer sisters and brothers are we going to stand for this, being run over by other peoples beliefs and non-beliefs?
Separation of Church and State
Nowhere is this more clearly seen than in the area of "religious liberty," where godless collectivists in our society have redefined the First Amendment to mean a "wall of separation between church and state."
At the forefront of the religious liberty issue is an organization called Americans United for Separation of Church and State. In the name of religious liberty, Americans United (AU) has systematically fought to eliminate the acknowledgment of God in all areas where government is involved. AU has used "religious neutrality" as a vehicle to remove prayer, the Ten Commandments, the Bible and biblical moral values, the scientific evidence supporting creation, etc., from the public schools.
The First Amendment has been used to forcibly remove religion from not just our classrooms but all government institutions and to dilute the religious content of much of American life. The way liberals are interpreting the First Amendment today is that it prevents anyone who is religious from being in government. They say that violates the prohibition against church and state.
Today the so-called separation of church and state in America is also used to silence the church. When Christians speak out on issues, the hue and cry from the humanist state and media is that Christians, and all religions, are prohibited from speaking since there is a separation of church and state. (from Jeremiah Project)
As Christians we need to stand together and fight for our Lord and Savior. Here is what Jesus says:
Matthew 10:22 (NIV) "All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved."
Matthew 12:30 (NIV) "He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters."
Here's what our Lord says in the Old Testament.
Amos 8:11 (NIV) "The days are coming" declares the Sovereign LORD, "when I will send a famine through the land~not a famine of food or a thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD."
I believe it's happening, the signs are there. Are you going to stand to the end with the Lord, even if it might cost you your life? If it does cost you your life, at least you know where you are going, to a place where we will be renewed and no more of this growing old stuff and no more of this evil going around. I will be standing how about you.
(and if you want to read more about this study our Constitution, Amendments and even find websites like this Jeremiah Project. His Scripture he uses for his site is Amos 8:11.)
We need to be prepared and ready for what is coming. God Bless.
