Where Do You Turn in the Time of Need?

If you are in need where do you turn?
Our lives seem to go in so many directions that we seem to get lost in it.

We all eventually face situations or fall in to circumstances in our lives and we do not know where to turn in the time of need. It can happen more than once in our lives too. Some people may turn to drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, shopping, eating or something that can be of comfort. That comfort is only temporary and eventually you will have to face your situation or circumstance head on.

Let me say this, there is someone who you can turn to for comfort, direction, and strength.

Hebrews 4:12, 14-16

New International Version (NIV)

12 For the word of God is alive and active.

14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven,[a] Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

God came to earth as flesh and has suffered just like we do.

Hebrews 2:18

New International Version (NIV)

18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

So God understands what we are going through and He is there for us when we are in need of comfort and support. His mercy is that He gives to us when we do not deserve it and His grace is He gives to us when we did not earn it. He loves us so much that he is there with us through everything and will never leave us.

Deuteronomy 31:8

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

Just talk to God and ask Him for courage, strength, direction and help. He will answer but in His perfect timing and in His perfect way but no matter what He is always with us.
